General Mental Health Program
Our GMH outpatient team, including psychologists, professional counselors, social workers, and case managers, provide psychological services for children, adolescents and families. Clients ages range from 2-19 and can be seen for a wide variety of behavioral and emotional disorders, ranging from adjustment issues to major mental health illnesses. Our focus is to identify and treat emotional & behavioral disturbances, strengthen family functioning and support youth in their natural environments. Most clinic sessions last about an hour and are held one or more times a week. We provide effective, evidence-based treatment, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Systemic Family Therapy, to help clients manage their mental health illness.
Psychological testing /evaluations are available for some cases. Testing can support or rule out common disorders such as IQ score, academic achievement, ADHD, and depressions/anxiety disorders. In addition, if a psychiatric evaluation is deemed to be a necessary part of treatment, our clinical staff will make the appropriate referrals to ensure treatment needs are met.
